DDP Briefing: How Collaborative Governance is Transforming Our Housing System

Housing is a human right, and a new set of bold, collaborative governance strategies is required to ensure that everyone has a safe and permanently affordable place to call home. Achieving this goal will require local elected officials and their civil society partners to develop new approaches to housing that center tenant rights and protections, and a willingness to put people before profit.

In this space, Local Progress and the Local Progress Impact Lab are working to ensure local electeds and partners have the resources and support they need to pass policies and programs that realize the goal of housing justice for all.

Together, we can redefine what housing justice looks like through collaborative governance, bringing those most impacted – but traditionally left out – into the center of decision-making and implementation.
