Director, Midwest Organizing Infrastructure Funders
analía is the Director of the Midwest Organizing Infrastructure Funders program at Neighborhood Funders Group. A proud Mexican immigrant based in Chicago, analía brings extensive experience in organizing and the nonprofit sector, with a deep personal understanding of the immigrant experience. Their organizing work has spanned critical issues such as immigration, education, and labor rights, always centering the voices of those most affected by oppressive systems. Before transitioning to philanthropy, Analía served as the Executive Director of a workers' center in Chicago, where they worked to empower workers and advocate for systemic change. In 2021, they joined a Chicago foundation, and in 2024, they brought their expertise to the Neighborhood Funders Group.
A strategic thinker with robust experience, analía is passionate about challenging the status quo and building thriving, equitable communities. Their work is grounded in the belief that organizing allows us to dream and act toward a world where everyone has the opportunity to flourish. They are especially committed to uplifting the power of relationships and ensuring that those most impacted by systemic injustices are at the forefront of conversations and decisions. Excited to continue and expand their work in the Midwest, analía is inspired by the possibilities ahead and remains dedicated to envisioning and creating transformative change.
