In-person convenings create an unique environment for Neighborhood Funders Group’s network to deepen our relationships and partnerships, align our values and vision, and take coordinated action in support of Black, Indigenous, and people of color communities.
And as we continue to navigate state-sanctioned attacks on our communities and democracy, it is crucial to build spaces for philanthropy to transform individual efforts into a united force that’s building power for community organizing and progressive movements.
This year, NFG invites you to save the date for Junction, taking place October 27-28 in Durham, North Carolina! Junction is a new convening space where philanthropy and movement partners can intentionally work together toward a shared 50-year liberation journey.
What to Expect at Junction:

A two-day convening that goes beyond the typical "listening to and learning from" convening to one with curated spaciousness to practice radical imagination and strategize with philanthropy and movement partners

Small, intimate group discussions with clear calls-to-action for co-creating the future and organizing philanthropy to resource it

Joy-centered practices that bring people together to experience awe and wonder, think about the seeds we must plant and nurture, and ground ourselves in the work ahead
