Interim Senior Director, Amplify Fund
Leticia Peguero joins NFG's Amplify Team as the Interim Senior Director. Since September Leticia has been working with the team, the broader NFG community and Amplify’s grantee community. Leticia brings a wealth of experience to this role as she has served as VP of Programs at the Nathan Cummings Foundation, leading them through a TOC and strategy process that resulted in the organization's values, including and naming fighting anti-Black racism for the first time in their history. Before that, she was the Executive Director of Andrus Family Fund, where she helped the Fund’s leadership diversify its board to include non-family members for the first time in its history. She also recruited and developed a staff member who joined the Fund as a program associate and eventually became its Director after Leticia’s departure. Prior to these roles, she was the Deputy Director of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Local Funding Partnerships Program, one of the longest-serving National Programs at the foundation.
Since 2021, Leticia has been actively engaged as a consultant, contributing significantly to various organizations. Her recent work includes working with Firelight Media, leading racial justice strategy development for the Packard Foundation, supporting the Independent Public Media Foundation in adopting racial justice values and leading the strategic review of the Oak Foundation's portfolio focused on immigration and children. She also worked with the Weissberg Foundation's board to develop their equity stance, strategic plan, and recommendations for the Youth First National Funding Collaborative, and contributed to the PPFA Black Women's Health Initiative. Not only is Leticia a seasoned professional, but she is also a coach who has focused primarily on working with women of color since 2018. She is certified by the International Coaching Federation.
