Real Talk: Strategies for Funding Housing Justice

Democratizing Development Program

NFG's Democratizing Development Program (DDP) invites you to join us on Thursday, August 6, 2026 for a funders-only strategy session on the shifting landscape for housing justice funding.

During this call, we’ll gather to deepen collective analysis among foundation staff at all levels of experience and expertise on gentrification and displacement, identify intersectional approaches that protect, preserve, and produce affordable housing, and highlight actions that create long-term benefits for residents to self-determine their communities. Participants will hear from fellow practitioners from the Cypress Fund and The James Irvine Foundation as they share insights on ways philanthropy can resource a future where residents self-determine their housing and community’s development.

Please note: this strategy session is intended for funders only. It is designed to be an interactive and participatory call and will not be recorded.
